Garth’s career began in his native Toronto. Soon after that, it took him to New York, where he established his first design base. During his five years there, garth designed in the areas of interiors, product and branding. After landing in Europe in 2005, garth quickly had the opportunity to develop designs for the premium furniture brands B&B Italia and Zanotta. garth’s cross-disciplinary design is guided by an aesthetic philosophy that creates a delicately balanced tension between pure materials and essential forms. The success of this approach has resulted in a critical recognition with an entry in the International Design Yearbook and a nomination by Elle Decor Awards for Best Furniture Piece. This approach has also led to creative direction for international clients such as Kalmar Werkstaetten, Mabeo Furniture, as well as collaborations with some of design’s elite brands including, B&B Italia, Zanotta, and Glas Italia. Currently, Garth maintains his international viewpoint on creativity by living and designing between Milan, Berlin, and New York.
